Your company needs to form a strategy for M2M that outlines how to incorporate existing hardware and software with new M2M initiatives. The strategy must, to take full advantage of the benefits, have a starting point with your customers in mind. If not before, it is a good reason to better understand your customers business.

It is not necessary to take a giant leap at first. It is however important to take the initiative and protect your territory, since it can in most cases also be done by others. Being early on the market has huge advantages.

It might take some time to realize all the possibilities and all of the impact M2M will have on your company. But one thing is for sure - sooner or later it will.

Most products today have electronic intelligence and data processing capability. The technology needed to connect those is today well proven and available at reasonable cost.
